Crazy to see that tweet, right? 1 year ago last month, Ninja signed an exclusive deal to Mixer — Microsoft’s own streaming platform — starting a chain reaction and a massive change to the streaming industry and gaming in general. Platforms began signing their streamers to keep them on their platform or to move others to their platforms for “life changing” sums of money, according to Pokimane and eSports leaker “Slasher” reported that Ninja was paid around $30 million dollars after Mixer bought Ninja and Shroud out of their contracts after the platform’s closure announcement in late June.

Rod “Slasher” Breslau’s tweet regarding the Mixer deals.

“We are thrilled Ninja is returning to Twitch. Tyler is an iconic force in the gaming community, and it’s been amazing to see the impact he’s made on the industry and broader culture. Gaming — and the people who love it — are being recognized by a broad mainstream audience now in part because of Tyler, and we know he’s just getting started.” — Michael Aragon, the senior VP of Twitch, said on Hollywood Reporter.

Minutes after Ninja’s announcement signing back over to Twitch, he got a “Sub Train” — a Twitch feature that’s triggered when multiple people subscribe or cheer bits at one time — receiving Level 5 at over 3000% while being offline.

Ninja’s title on Twitch shows that he will be streaming at 2:00PM central today. See you then!
